About

Salem Roberts is a Nashville-based songwriter and visual storyteller whose work lives at the intersection of music, memory, and meaning-making. His songs are rooted in emotional rock – anchored by reverb-washed guitars, dynamic builds, and the kind of intensity that starts quiet and ends unmistakably alive. The result is music that feels personal and expansive, shaped by resilience, devotion, and the long arc of love.

With a background in visual art, philosophy, and creative direction, Roberts approaches songs the way he approaches images – attentive to tone, texture, and what lives beneath the surface. His work is grounded in the belief that art is a shared conversation, a space where meaning is co-created and where identity and experience meet the everyday.

Roberts's creative career spans more than a decade of shaping stories for others: he has collaborated on content for Nissan and LinkedIn, guided TED at UPS speakers, and provided creative direction for mission-driven brands carried in Whole Foods and beyond. He's supported educators, public figures, and community organizations, bringing clarity, vision, and emotional resonance to their work.

But his songs remain deeply personal. Often anchored in the quiet resilience of long-term love – tracing the ache and tenderness of what it means to stay, to return, and to keep believing in what a life can become.

His work has been described as "Playful" (Fubiz), "Entertaining" (The Creator's Project), and “A personal exploration of the everyday . . . and the out of this world." (VICE)

Roberts holds a Bachelor's Degree in Liberal Studies with emphases in English Literature and Religion from Middle Tennessee State University, was part of the Art21 Educators cohort, and received his Master of Arts in Songwriting from Berklee College of Music.
